Glenn M. Fassett

He was born in Bethpage, Hempstead, New York, December 17, 1976, the son of Richard H. and Vivian “Teri” Fassett. He grew up in Wantagh and was a 1995 graduate of Wantagh High School. He received an associate degree in technical theater from Nassau Community College.

He moved to Marlborough, NH in 2008, where he resided until moving to Surry two years ago. At the time of his death, Mr. Fassett worked for the past five years in sales and delivery services with Flowers Bakery of Brattleboro, Vermont.

He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hiking. He also enjoyed attending theater productions, taking special interest in the technical aspects of the lighting and sound requirements of these productions. However, his favorite pastime was the time he spent with his daughter, Rebecca, on their special fishing, hiking and camping trips, especially those on Surry Mountain.

He is survived by his wife of five years, Erika (Bingham) Fassett of Surry; his daughter, Rebecca Lynne Fassett of Surry; his parents of Wantagh; his brother, Sean Fassett and his wife, Jennifer of Hicksville, NY; his mother-in-law, Lynne Gallup of Keene, NH; and his father-in-law, Kirk Bingham, of New Smyrna, FL.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Unitarian Universalist Church, 69 Washington Street, Keene. Burial will be private. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene.
