He was employed by Ames Automotive Enterprises of Marlborough hired on as museum curator for the Ames Automotive Foundation, and previously worked for Ames Performance Engineering of Spofford.
Jim married the love of his life, Kelly Morse, on September 21, 1991.
Known as “Big Jim” to those who knew him well, there was never a more devoted husband, son, Godfather, uncle, and friend. No matter what was going on, Jim could be counted on to drop what he was doing and lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His passion for helping others was as strong as his love of old vehicles and muscle cars. Jim enjoyed tinkering on cars and attending car shows. He was always ready for a good road trip and especially fond of visiting the Fun Spot in Meredith where he could play arcade games. In addition, he loved playing cribbage and watching football, NASCAR, and supporting the Patriots, Bruins and Celtics.
Jim will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 25 years: Kelly Madden of Troy; mother: Irene K. Madden of Swanzey; three brothers: Dave Madden and his wife Donna of Fitchburg, MA, Glenn Madden and his wife Laurie of Walpole, and Jay Madden and his wife Dianna of Westmoreland; and seven nieces and nephews: Hayley Madden, Heather Madden, Brandon Madden and his wife Jenny, Brody Madden, Kurt Madden, Ryan Madden, and Krista Sheehan and her husband Larry. In addition he will be missed by the nieces and nephews on Kelly’s side of the family too.
He is predeceased by his father, Milan M. Madden.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Fletcher Funeral Home, 33 Marlboro Street, Keene, NH. Services will be private.
