

She was predeceased in death by her husband, Howard Ernest Croteau. Jeanne is survived by her sister Joyce Barron; five children Shelly J. Croteau, Kevan H. Croteau, Megan J. Scott, Sharon H. Croteau, and Daniel C. Nowill; five grandchildren Henry Scott, Joshua Croteau, Jordan Scott, Mary Raymond, and Max Miller; three great-grandchildren Robert Nowill, Thomas Nowill, and Hayden Scott, as well as nieces and nephews.
A graduate of Massachusetts General Hospital Cadet Nursing Program, she worked in Boston during WWII. She moved back to New Hampshire to marry her high school sweetheart and start a family.
Jeanne was a staff nurse at Elliot Community Hospital in Keene, NH and then began working in nursing homes in the area. As her children began school, she became school nurse for SAU 29. In the late 70’s Jeanne was recruited to create the Health Occupations Program at Cheshire Vocational Center. In 1978 she received her Masters in Occupational Education from KSC and began teaching courses there in adult development.
Upon retirement she became active in her community.
