His parents, Davis C. Crump and Michelle Ledoux Stitham welcomed their son into this world on February 18, 1977, in Newport Beach, California. He was born with “question marks” in his eyes that seemed to be saying “What’s up?” It was a harbinger of his lifelong curiosity. As a child, he was active, easygoing, and a bit mischievous. He possessed a unique blend of intelligence and intuition that supported him through life’s difficult times. Jeremiah was a risk-taker. He loved challenges in both his personal and professional life.
Jeremiah always wanted a big family. Thankfully, he was blessed to meet his wife, Stacey, and have a houseful of children. His love, care, and attention to them was deep and abiding. His work ethic was solid and intensely driven by his determination to take care of his family.
Throughout his life, he exuded high energy. For him, being active in sports was both a necessity and a passion. His energy and enthusiasm carried over to his adult life. He wholeheartedly shared his knowledge, experience, and his love of life with others.
His passion for sports led him to a career in coaching. He wanted each athlete to thrive. He embraced the knowledge that he could indeed make a difference in children’s lives, and he did so with heart and dedication. Jeremiah’s coaching career spanned 18 years. At the time of his death, Jeremiah was the head wrestling coach for the Keene Middle School wrestling team. He worked tirelessly for the wrestling programs at Keene Middle School, Keene High School, Keene Gladiators Youth Wrestling, Merrimack Youth Association Wrestling, and Monadnock Regional High School. He also coached baseball in Merrimack and Keene, and soccer at Marlborough Elementary School.
His work as a realtor and owner of 1 Monadnock Homes Realty Group is celebrated by the many heartfelt testimonials from his clients. He truly felt rewarded and humbled to help his clients, and he had a special fondness for facilitating first-time home ownership.
In addition to family, work, and coaching, Jeremiah loved music, telling stories, golfing, swimming, fishing, grilling, playing baseball, chasing thunderstorms, and being in nature.
He will be greatly missed by many, especially his wife of nine years, Stacey L. (LaValley) Crump of Marlborough; his children, Isiah J. Crump of Keene, Damon J. Greer, Corrine E. Greer, Oliver J. Greer, Harper L. Greer, Norah L. Crump, Marcella M. Crump, all of Marlborough, and Fabiola C. Magana of Bedford, NH, his father David Crump of Chula Vista, CA, his mother Michelle “Mikki” Ledoux Stitham and stepfather James A. Stitham, of Keene; two brothers, Brian A. Stitham and his fiancée Ali-Sandra Machicote-Ramos, of South Hadley, MA, Austin A. Stitham and his partner, Sage R. Bennis, of Keene; many cousins, aunts and uncles, and the many students and their families he coached over the years who became part of his extended family.
It is fitting that a celebration of Jeremiah’s life will be held at the Keene Middle School Gymnasium, 167 Maple Avenue, Keene, on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 5-7 pm.
