
Jerry A. Walker, 68, of Swanzey, died April 21, 2014 after a period of declining health.
He was born in Ponca City, OK on December 20, 1945 to John A. and Opal E. (Streeter) Walker. He graduated from Ponce City High School, Ponca City, OK in 1964 and Central State University, Edmond, Oklahoma with a B.S. in Business Administration.
Jerry married Mary "Sue" Holden on November 29, 1975 in Oklahoma City, OK.
He served in the United States Army, including a tour of duty in Okinawa, Japan.
Before moving to Swanzey in 2002, Jerry was General Manager at Sam Montgomery, an Oldsmobile dealership in Houston, TX.
He served on the Zoning Board for the Town of Swanzey and was an active member of the Monadnock Parkinson's Support Group.
Jerry enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with his wife at the New Hampshire and Maine seacoasts.
His family remembers him as loving cars from an early age, and animals, especially his schnauzer, "Gracie". Jerry, had a sense of humor, especially when telling funny stories on himself.
Jerry is survived by his sister, Anita Wolf of Hot Springs, AR.; his cousin Vicki Baade of West Chester, PA., numerous nieces and nephews of OK. & TX. His beloved wife Mary "Sue" Walker died in 2013.
A memorial service will be held for Jerry on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, 11:00 AM at Fletcher Funeral Home & Cremation Services (www.fletcherfuneralhome.com), 33 Marlboro St., Keene, NH.
