He grew up in Clinton and married his high school sweetheart Gloria (Jones) Vogt. He served honorably in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War as an aircraft mechanic from December 3, 1968 until the completion of his military commitment on December 1, 1972.

Joe lived for each and every day. He always had a great story to tell and was the life of the party. He was an avid outdoor sportsman who loved to fly float planes in the Canadian Tundra and hunt Caribou. He played the banjo and enjoyed the simple life. Once during the holidays, Joe chopped a Charlie Brown tree for his family to decorate. His daughters were upset because of the sparseness of the tree, so he creatively rectified the situation by drilling in more branches to that Christmas tree. He always did everything for his children.
Joe also loved the Republican Party. God bless him, as this will thankfully be one less vote for Donald Trump in the presidential election.
Joe would not want anyone to be sad for him; he would want his friends and family to celebrate his life. Please feel free to join us on Saturday, November 28th, 2015 at Papagallos Restaurant in Keene, NH from 12 to 4 pm in celebration of his life. Any pictures of Joe and a good story would be appreciated at his celebration.
In summary, he was an amazing soul who is now enjoying perfect health and will be with us in spirit. Until we meet again…….know your wife, daughters, family, and friends love you a lot and are going to miss you immeasurably.
