

He was born on September 7, 1985 in Keene, NH, son of Karen L. (Sorrells) and David N. Coleman, Jr. He attended the Rise program from ages one to three, Keene schools up to kindergarten, kindergarten through eighth grade at Chesterfield, and graduated from Keene High School with the class of 2005. He also completed a one-year program, Project Search, at Cheshire Medical, graduating in June of 2013.
Josh worked at Elegant Settings for a summer or two. He was employed at Hannaford’s Supermarket for eight years in front end customer service, where he was well known and loved by coworkers and customers alike. Up until his passing, he was a sales associate at Kohl’s in Keene.
Very social and active, Josh participated in many activities including Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts in Chesterfield. He competed in Special Olympics doing track and field, basketball, and bowling. He took a four-wheeler safety course and enjoyed riding his four-wheeler. He was a manager for Keene High Lacrosse and was the head pep talk guy. He practiced Karate-taekwondo, attaining the rank of Red Belt. He enjoyed time spent kayaking with his mom and dad, and beloved dog, Jack. He especially loved watching the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, and WWE and was fortunate to cheer on his favorite teams attending games in person.
Josh will be dearly missed for being a young man who touched the lives of many and was loved by all. He leaves behind his parents: Dave and Karen Coleman of Chesterfield; siblings: Makayla Coleman of Chesterfield, and Daniel Coleman of Spofford; his loving dog: Jack; nephew: Matthew Coleman and his wife Taylah of Keene; niece: Hailey Coleman of Spofford; great-niece: Braelynn Coleman of Keene; aunts and uncles: David and Joy Kempton of Keene, Sandy and Dick Carlson of Antrim, Deb and Fran Macri of Alstead, Deb and Jeff Coleman of Walpole, and Sue Coleman and her fiancé Jeff Trudelle of Harrisville; as well as many loving cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents: David and Pauline Coleman; maternal grandparents: Robert and Arlene Sorrells; and his uncle: Robert K. Sorrells.
A memorial service celebrating Josh’s life will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 11:00 am at Grace Community Evangelical Free Church, 49 Old Swanzey Road, Spofford, NH.
