Her parents, Matthew and Elizabeth (Lawlor) Syrotiak welcomed their daughter into the world on February 6, 1954, in Yonkers, New York. Beth grew up in Monroe, Conn. and was a graduate of Monroe High School.
On August 26, 1972, Beth married Ronald J. Karvosky in Storrs, Conn. The couple later resided in Bridgeport, Conn., until moving to New Hampshire. The couple found their 200+ year old dream home, in Marlow, NH. They not only raised their family, the Marlow home had an open door for all friends and family for a quick visit or extended stay if needed. Beth had a way of making all feel welcomed and loved, a 2nd Mom for so many. The couple recently moved to Westmoreland, NH into another old home that the couple immediately started bringing back to its old charm.
Beth’s huge and caring heart found her working as a licensed nursing assistant at Maplewood Nursing Home in Westmoreland from 2006 until 2021.
In the earlier years, Beth and Ron were 25-year members of the Cheshire Coachman Van Club. Some of Beth’s favorite pastimes were tending to her giant vegetable and floral gardens. Family and friends loved Beth’s canning of pickles and relishes along with her homemade breads. Summers spent on the Cape again opened to many friends and family. Beth enjoyed watching her hummingbirds, and always a great mystery novel. Above all Beth treasured her time with family and friends. Her nonjudgmental heart open to all.
She will be missed by so many, especially her husband of 51 years, Ronald J. Karvosky, Sr. of Westmoreland; her two children, Tara M. Karvosky and her fiancé, Chad Burrows, of Keene, Ronald J. Karvosky Jr. also of Westmoreland; two brothers, Michael Syrotiak of Oxford, CT, David Syrotiak and his wife, Tawn, of Bethlehem, CT; two sisters, Susan Karvosky and her husband, Edward, of Newton, CT, Kerri Zinn and her late husband Russell of Bethlehem, CT; a brother-in-law, Thomas Karvosky and his wife, Jeanne, of St. Agustin, FL, Richard Karvosky, of Ohio; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. A brother, Matthew Syrotiak, predeceased Beth.
A celebration of Beth’s life will be held at a later date.
For those who wish, donations may be made in Mrs. Karvosky’s memory to Monadnock Humane Society, 101 West Swanzey Road, Swanzey, NH 03446.
