

Margaret “Peg” Messer (Keough), 76, a resident of Harrisville, New Hampshire, died peacefully surrounded by her children and best friend at her home on Saturday, October 22, 2011, following a period of failing health.
She was born February 23, 1935, in Peterborough, New Hampshire, the daughter of Peter and Rose (Emery) Keough. She was a 1953 graduate of Harrisville High School and received her LPN from Moore General Hospital.
Peg was a devoted mother and nurse, committed to her family and to helping those in need. She dedicated much of her life to nursing at the Summerhill Assisted Living Facility in Peterborough and The Woodward Home in Keene. She also spent many years as a volunteer on Marl-Harris Ambulance, Harrisville Rescue, and the Harrisville School Board. Peg especially loved to work in her flower garden and on her many sewing and craft projects.
She is survived by her son: Michael Messer of Hinsdale, NH, four daughters: Kim Lincoln of Gardner, MA, Heidi Matthews of South Sutton, NH, Lisa St. Peter of Harrisville, NH and Lori Bourassa of Sullivan, NH, two brothers: Donald Keough of Harrisville, NH and Jerome Keough of Corbet, OR, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by her sister Corrine Trudelle.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at St. Bernard Church on Main Street in Keene, NH at 11:00am. Family and friends are invited to call on the family Tuesday, October 25, 2011 from 6 – 8pm at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street Keene, NH.
