Marie I. Bent

She was born in Boston, MA on September 28, 1914 the daughter of Edwin P. and Mabel (Odell) Paulson.

She came to Keene from Boston in 1920 and continued her education here graduating from Keene High School in 1932. She was employed by the MPB Corporation in Keene for more than thirty-three years.

She had a strong faith and was a long time member of the Parish of the Holy Spirit and attended St. Bernard’s Church. She was a long time and active member of the Ladies of St. Anne Sodality. She loved being with her family, and was an avid bowler. She also enjoyed playing cards and doing fill in word puzzles.

She is survived by her daughter Patricia L. Butts of Keene, NH; two grandchildren; Anthony A. Magaletta, III, of Glendale, CA and Susan L. Elling of Seattle, WA; three great-grandchildren; Johna, Samuel, and Grace; a sister-in-law Hughena Davis of Keene, NH; four nephews; Gerald David, Ralph Devoid, Lee Devoid and Sherwood Bent. Her husband, Henry W. Bent died in 1992.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Bernard’s Church, 185 Main Street, Keene on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 12:00 noon. Burial at the Monadnock View Cemetery in West Keene will be at a later date. There are no public visiting hours.
