Michael Thomas Byrne

He was born in Keene, NH, April 10, 1972, the son of Patricia A. (Turant) and William F. Byrne, Jr.

A resident of Ashuelot, NH for many years, Mr. Byrne was a 1991 graduate of Thayer High School in Winchester. He has resided in Winchester for the past six years.

Michael enjoyed painting ceramics and slate using his mouth-stick to move the brushes used to complete his projects. He also enjoyed working on his computer and fishing. He loved the ocean and would make a trip to Hampton Beach every year. He enjoyed watching the Patriots and Red Sox. He was an avid NASCAR fan and his longtime dream was to some day meet Dale Earnhardt, Sr., a dream which came true two years prior to Dale’s death.

He is survived by his mother, Patricia A. Byrne, of Winchester, a brother, William F. Bryne, III of Winchester, a sister, Cathy A. Davis and her husband, Joseph Davis, Sr., four nephews, Joseph “Joe” Davis, Jr., Kyle Davis, William F. “Willy” Bryne, IV, Colby Byrne, his maternal grandmother, Stella Turant of Winchester, his uncles, Thomas Turant and his wife, Marilyn, of Winchester, Michael Turant and his wife, Candy, of Hinsdale, NH, his cousins, Matthew and Jodi Turant, of Concord, NH, Katie and Chad Naperkoski of New Boston, NH, Jake Turant of Hinsdale, Jill and John Gorton of Smyrna, Georgia, and a special friend and father-figure, Lester Lang of West Chesterfield, NH. His father, William F. Byrne, Jr., died earlier.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 1:00 PM in St. Stanislaus Church, Richmond Road, Winchester. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Richmond Road, Winchester. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene.
