She was born in Hanover, NH, on March 3, 1936, the daughter of Glenn E. and Maude (Rothmansky) Miller. Norene grew up and attended Keene schools most of her life.
She married Charles A. Bailey on June 26, 1954.
Norene was a dedicated employee of MPB Corporation from 1955 to 1993.
Fondly remembered as a kind and quiet woman, Norene enjoyed wintering at her home in Lady Lake, FL for many years. She found much pleasure in knitting and crocheting. For many years Norene was an active member of a bowling league at Yankee Lanes. In the winter months you could find Norene eager to get on a snowmobile. She and Charlie did lots of camping and traveling in their RV; often visiting county fairs. Many times Norene’s step-mother, Velma, whom she was very close with, accompanied their journeys.
Norene is survived by her sister: Gwen Frazier of Keene; brother-in-law: Arnold Bailey and his wife Joann of Keene; sisters-in-law: Martha Clark and her husband George of Harrisville, and Virginia Korpi and her husband John of Harrisville; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband of nearly 60 years, Charles A. Bailey, her brothers Bradley Miller and Sumner Miller, and sisters Lillian Hyman and Marion Cummings.
A joint memorial service will be held for both Norene & Charlie at a later date in the family lot at Monadnock View Cemetery, Park Avenue in Keene.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in Mrs. Norene J. Bailey's name, to David’s House, P.O. Box 660, Lebanon, NH 03766 or online at (www.davids-house.org).
Fletcher Funeral Home & Cremation Services (www.fletcherfuneralhome.com), 33 Marlboro St., Keene, NH 03431 has been entrusted with the arrangements.
