His parents, Alvin C. and Gladys F. (Linscott) Yantiss welcomed their son into the world on June 13, 1947, in San Diego, CA.
Robert owned his own building company, Robert A. Yantiss Company. As a finished carpenter he created many unique woodworkings including pet urns that he provided to local veterinarians. He was also skilled at glassware engraving and laser etchings.
He was a wealth of knowledge in his trade and many other things as well. He also enjoyed traveling.
He will be greatly missed by many, especially his daughter, Gretchen Jackson and her husband William Jackson, Sr. of Swanzey, NH; his son, Seth Yantiss and his wife Jennifer of Jacksonville, FL; his three grandchildren, Taylor Jackson, Natalie Arvin and Evan Cleaveland; and a brother Ronald Yantiss and his wife Sue of Surry, NH.
A celebration of Robet’s life will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, NH. All are welcome.
For those who wish, donations may be made in Mr. Yantiss’ memory to the Harris Center for Conservation Education (https://harriscenter.org/about-us), 83 Kings Highway, Hancock, NH 03449.
