It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Sandra “Sandi” Lee Clough affectionately known as “Nonnie” after a long and courageous battle with chronic health issues on August 20th, 2025. She was surrounded by family in the final days and left this world the way she lived, PEACFULLY!
She was born March 23, 1966, in Beverly, MA to Ralph M. Blaisdell Sr., and Carol A. Snide (Blaisdell) and resided in the Salisbury Beach area until relocating to Elkins, NH with her family as a child and later moved to Newport, NH where she proudly graduated from Newport Jr., Sr. High School. Later in life she resided in Windsor, VT and Swanzey, NH.
Although she never birthed any children of her own Nonnie’s greatest passion in life and her greatest accomplishment, in the view of her family and friends, was helping to raise and nurture her nieces and nephews as well as many others. She was not only a constant in their lives but was truly a driving force in raising and shaping who they are today and the passion that they hold within themselves. She was also her Mother’s Best Friend, and both her Brothers Greatest Champion and Cheerleader and although she could be at odds with them on occasion on different subjects, she would defend them both against anyone else without thought and with passion.
She was also an avid craftsman who enjoyed crocheting, sewing, beading, and jewelry making as well as many other art forms and loved to read with a passion and wherever she went there was always a book close at hand. She had many pets throughout her life and loved animals as deeply as she loved people, and I believe she found a peace in their companionship, and they all brought joy to her life. Her final furry friend and companion was her Angel who she loved and adored deeply.
Although she had no Birth Sisters, she was very clear and made sure that they knew often and was adamant that I share for the world to know, that she had Three Sisters and Best Friends, Shellie Ann Blaisdell, Maria Clough, and Phaedra Blaisdell whom she loved dearly and was forever thankful for their grace, dignity and love that they provided!
She was predeceased by her Maternal Grandparents, Charles and Olive Moore, her Paternal Grandparents Charles and Edna Blaisdell, her father Ralph M. Blaisdell Sr., her Sister Shellie Ann Blaisdell, and many aunts and Uncles.
She is survived by her parents, Carol Ann Snide and William Snide (her “Buddy”), her brothers, Ralph M. Blaisdell, Jr. (Phaedra), Richard D Blaisdell (Noelle) and her nieces and nephews, Ralph M. Blaisdell, the III, Joseph Sherman, Lakota L. Blaisdell, Allsion O. Blaisdell, Devin Lady, Sunshyne Rose Blaisdell, Carol Ann Blaisdell, Mitchell Blaisdell, Dana Marie Blaisdell, Taylor Smith, Ariel Brennan, and Rosie Cloutier. As well as Her Beloved Companion Angel.
There will be no calling hours but there will be a Celebration of Life at 11:00 am on the 14th of September at the Samuel E Paul Community Center located at 61 South Street, Troy NH. (more details to follow).
