

He was born in Keene, NH, May 7, 1973, the son of Joseph A. and Bonita R. (Clark) Sarcione. A life long resident of Stoddard, he attended local schools and was a 1991 graduate of Keene High School. He attended the University of Maine in Unity, Maine.
Shannon worked with his father in the family logging and excavating business, J&S Cordwood, LLC. He was a 20 year member of the Stoddard Fire and Rescue Department, serving as Captain for many years, and was bestowed the rank of Honorary Chief by the department in his memory. He was also a special deputy warden with the State of NH Division of Forest and Land and a deputy warden for the Town of Stoddard.
He enjoyed the out of doors, especially fishing and hunting with his son, Hayden. He also enjoyed snowmobiling and 4-wheeling. He enjoyed construction work as well, and was in the process of building his own home. His favorite pastime was that spent with his family, especially his son.
He is survived by his son, Hayden J. Sarcione of Stoddard and his mother, Taryn Forcier Sarcione of Swanzey, NH; his parents of Stoddard; his maternal grandparents, Lewis and Jean Clark of Stoddard; his girlfriend, Lauren M. Aliseo and her daughter, Deonna Thompson of Stoddard; and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and many friends he considered as his family. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Leansina and Edward Sarcione, Sr.
A funeral service with fire department honors will be held Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the James Faulkner Elementary School, School Street, Stoddard. Burial will follow in the Dow Hill Cemetery, School Street, Stoddard. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene.
