He was born on June 12, 1963, in Keene, son of David and Gloria (Caron) Kearney. He attended area schools and graduated from Keene High School with the Class of 1981.
Steve had a knack for all things in the Kitchen. He started working early on at Family Ties and had most recently been employed by Tempesta’s Restaurant.
Family of Steve often referred to him as a “Little Einstein”. He had a passion for projects and was always thinking up new contraptions. Once he had an idea, he was off to start creating right away. His curiosity and thirst for learning lead to him being well-rounded and knowledgeable in many subject areas.
Steve will be dearly missed by his mother: Gloria Kearney of Keene, NH; niece: Tara Kearney of Keene, NH; dear friend: Maureen Nolin of Winchendon, MA; and friends who were like family: Jimmy and Tracey of Tempesta’s Restaurant.
He was predeceased by his father David Kearney and brother Derek Kearney.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023, at 11:00 am at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 185 Main Street, Keene, NH. Burial will follow at Monadnock View Cemetery, Park Ave, Keene, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to be made in Steven D. Kearney’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 (www.StJude.org).
