A lover of the outdoors, Sue was a prodigious walker. She could often be seen at any time of year and in any weather strolling along the sidewalks or bike paths of Keene or hiking with her brother’s dogs in the woods around Walpole.
Committed all her life to helping others, Sue volunteered weekly at the Keene Community Kitchen for two decades, and at Maplewood for many years. For her dedication, Maplewood gave her its Volunteer of the Year Award in 2011.
Sue is survived by two sons: Ted Flessa and his wife Maria of Medfield, MA, and Steven Flessa and his wife Barbara LaRoche of Walpole, NH; three grandchildren: Caroline and Andrew Flessa of Medifeld, MA, and Justin Flessa of Walpole, NH; and a brother: John Pratt of Walpole, NH.
Her husband Vernon and sister Janet Pratt Smith predeceased her.
Those who would like to celebrate her life are asked to give a contribution in her memory to a charity of their choice.
