Virginia Irene Boes

Her parents, Morris M. and Dovie Jane (Dickey) Davis welcomed their daughter into the world on April 3, 1926, in Coahoma Panola Mississippi.

Virginia enjoyed working customer service, working at Wilber Brothers Supermarket and then as a waitress with the former Alps Restaurant in Swanzey, NH and the former Bon Ton Restaurant in Keene. This afforded her the opportunity to stay at home during the day to be with her children.

Her greatest joy was that of raising her family of four children, caring for her husband and her home. Virginia was known for her warm loving hospitality to everyone she met. She also enjoyed gardening and reading and going to the beach. She found a special place in her heart for her pets.

Virginia was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in North Swanzey, NH for forty years.

She is survived by her children, her daughters Lisa Chalifour of Keene, Alice Sheldon and her husband Wayne of Punta Gorda, FL; her son, Gary Boes and his wife Laurie, of Swanzey, NH; and her grandchildren, Melanie Gorecki, Garrett Boes, Neil Livengood, 3rd, Nathan Livengood, Michelle Boes, Brent Sheldon; and five great-grandchildren. Virginia was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Karl Heinz Boes in 2005, and her son Karl Boes, Jr. on March 20, 2019. A brother Karl Davis also predeceased her.

Services for Mrs. Boes will be held privately by the family.
