

He was born in Cambridge, MA on June 14, 1940, the son of William D. and Alice A. (Austin) Sullivan. He grew up in Winchester, MA attending St. Mary’s School and graduating from Winchester High School.
Red drove truck for Allied Concrete earlier in his life. He then became a self-employed trucker driving for a number of different companies. At one time he also delivered concrete for the “Big Dig”.
He was a Teamster with the Local 379 in Massachusetts.
On September 10, 2011, he married Clare Burke Cheever at their home in Richmond.
Red enjoyed riding Triumph motorcycles and took a cross country trip to California with his son, Sean, in 2008.
Survivors include his wife Clare Sullivan of Richmond; his sons William Sullivan of Nashua and Sean Sullivan of Malden, MA; his daughters Nancy Arbios of Stockton, CA, Charlene Sullivan of Woburn, MA, Carol Sullivan of Nashua and Paula Sullivan of Wakefield, MA; sisters Edna Holland of Harwich, MA and Marion Sullivan of Vero Beach, FL; 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. His daughter Donna Jones and sister Elaine Loeffler both died earlier.
Red’s services will be held on Sunday, December 9th, 2012, 1:00 PM at Fletcher Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 33 Marlboro St., Keene, NH. Pastor Roger Brooks will officiate. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 8th, 2012, from 2:30 to 4:30 PM also at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in Red Sullivan’s name to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center – Kingsbury Pavilion, c/o the Cheshire Health Foundation, 580 Court Street, NH 03431.
