Dr.Karl Allen Kuipers, age 77, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, November 24, 2023, in Grapevine, Texas. Karl was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was one of four children (Ken, Keith, and Kris) born to Henry and Sylvia Kuipers. He attended Ferris State University where he obtained his bachelor’s in pharmacy. During Pharmacy school he met and fell in love with his wife Susie, they married and had three children. He then attended medical school at Michigan State where he obtained his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. Karl enjoyed all sports but was very fond of college and professional football. He was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed college rivalry matchups. He was an avid reader of suspense novels with Baldacci, Patterson, and Kootz being among his favorites. He was passionate about the game of golf and thoroughly enjoyed both the serenity and strategic planning that it involved. He had an amazing appreciation for music, whether it was current or classical and absolutely loved to sing whether it was in the shower or for his church’s choir. Karl and Susie enjoyed travelling the world but had a fondness for locales with beaches. He relished delicious food, wine, and drank an atrocious amount of coffee.
He deeply loved his family, his friends, and his church. He was adored by all that met him in both his professional and personal life and will be dearly missed.
