To my loving husband:
This morning the sun came up, and you weren’t there. I remember the first day I met you, you were a blessing and there was no guessing you were the one. We said our vows, later you told me if anything happened to you, whatever I do, just to make sure I take care of those kids. I would have never thought this day would come. This morning the sun came up, and you weren’t there.
To my special step-kids:
Jarrett, Isaiah, and Zavion, I love you like you were my own. We have grown to love and understand each other. As you continue to grow into the fine men that you are, I want you to know I am here. Although no one can or will ever replace your dad, I am here for you. When you need to get away from everything, my home is your home. My love for you has just gotten stronger than ever. I will never abandon you. We are attached forever; I love all three of you and don’t ever forget that.
John 16:22 New International Version (NIV)
22 So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.
