I still really miss you.  The world seems so empty, without your humor, advice and friendship..

I was Rick's 7th grade teacher for a combined class of Ohio history and English.  I remember him well as a golden-haired lad--a beautiful addition to a wonderful class.  Rick and i were able to remain in touch, years later when we had a reunion of that class.  i was a law school drop-out who became an advocate for teachers in our teachers' association.  He became a lawyer and strong advocate for those who needed it most.  His classmates and I will never forget him.

Rick and I met in 1976 while we were both students at the University of Florida.  We were very different people.  I had recently left the military and 2 and 1/2 years in Asia.  I was married and had a three year old child.  Rick was single  and eccentric free spirited liberal who made me laugh alot.  I graduated before him and moved to Houston for law school.  I talked Rick into moving to Houston and we were in law school together.  I miss him much.


Rick you made my mom's life so happy unlike any man I have been around my entire life. We had alot of the same interests in Marvel and Star Wars so it wasn't hard to strike up a conversation. You will forever be missed. 

Richard was always polite and friendly, no matter what was going on in his practice or his life. He was a gentleman, who spoke politely and listened to others. Pretty rare traits in today's world. I am certain that I am not the only one who feels this way and I will certainly miss him. Blessings and God's mercy to the family.

I met Rick at the University of Florida in 1976.  We were quite different from each other but we became good friends.  I graduated before Rick and I talked him into moving to Houston and we went to law school together.  He moved back to Florida after law school and I then talked him into moving back to Texas to practice law.  Rick was one of the kindest and best hearted people I have ever known.  God bless you Rick and God bless your family.

I was so very sorry to hear about the passing of this wonderful man!  I knew Rick for many years while I worked in Court at CSCD (Adult Probation).  Whenever I saw him, he was always professional, smiling and so pleasant even if things may not have worked out the best for his clients when if came to their probation case.  Once I retired in 2014, we kept in touch on Face Book.  We shared many posts and it was fun to see how much we were politically on the same page.  When I saw he had gotten married, I was thrilled for him.  I knew that whoever he married had to have been a very special person, since that is who Rick was..very special.  Love and prayer to his family.  He will be very missed!

Rick will be truly missed what an amazing person he was. A great friend, lawyer and if you ever needed anything he was there and happy to help. Heaven has gained an amazing angel. Rest in peace Rick you will be dearly missed 

I will never forget his contagious smile..
Rick and I met when we were the new kids, at a small High School in a small town in the woods of North Florida, we bonded over a love of books, history, politics, music, sci-fi and making others laugh.
As I think of my friend, what I'm left with more than anything, more than the sadness, more than the grief, is that, I will forever have special moments etched into my heart.
A lifetime (Nearly half of a century) of shared wonderful memories,of Rick and myself, that are now only mine.They now belong only to me I don't say that selfishly. I say it proudly, with deep love.
Those will always be mine. But my last memory of Rick was when he visited along with Loretta, the lady that had relit a special twinkle in his eye, stands at the top of that list.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Loretta Kline for restoring that spark.
So today, as we honor the memory of Rick Kline, let us remember him with joy. Let us sing his songs. Tell his jokes. Let us celebrate his friendship.
Let us remember to laugh...because that's what he would want us to do.

I was a family law attorney and later Family Judge.  Richard was kind and so professional when he appeared before me.  

Rick... I can’t tell you how much we will TRULY miss you...... Our family is so very thankful to get to know you.... I know how much you ABSOLUTELY loved my mother and she loved you.. may you both be together in another time.... ❤️💕❤️💕

I will miss seeing Rick in the courtroom. He never failed to have a happy smile and friendly greeting. He took good care of his cases and I never heard a word against him, which is a great compliment to his character and his practice. 
RIP, Rick. We will all miss you. 

Smart, funny, and cared deeply about his children, his profession, and his country.

He was always a smiling face at the courthouse. He will be missed.

Rick and I officed together ten years ago. People at the office would wonder why Rick and I would go around yelling "So say we all!" to each other - they hadn't seen the Battlestar Galactica reboot. Another running joke was that I would give him the Vulcan salute, and he would roll his eyes and call me a show off. Rick never mastered the salute, but he did know how to be a good person, and a good friend. I still can't believe he's gone. 
One last time Rick: "So say we ALL!"

Rick was one of the nicest attorneys I have ever worked with.  Rest In Peace, sir.  

I met Rick in 4th grade and we have been friends since. He was smart, funny and caring. I will miss his wit and just knowing he was there.
