I was so sorry to learn of Sami’s Passing!  My Husband, Dave Quilici, worked with him in the Coal Dept. for years.   Once Retirement rolled around, they and many times others, would enjoy meeting for dinner to hash over old times.  The guys stayed in touch, and when Sami became ill,  communication was mostly by phone.  Then, Dave became ill in Late Summer 2017, and passed in Early January, 2018.   I  lost track of how Sami was doing, but have been praying for him.   I pray that his two Daughters, Carolyn and Grace, and the Shalah Family find the Strength and Peace that they need to Heal from their  Loss.  May God Bless You, and May Sami Rest In Peace in the Arms of His Heavenly Father🙏Beverly Quilici


I had the pleasure of working with Sami at BNSF and he would always make me smile and was very supportive to me.  Love to his family and friends!

Sami brought so much light of the lives of those around him. Even though I only knew him for a short while he was always positive, a true gentleman, full of life, and had a smile that lit up the room. I was lucky to meet some of his siblings (fabulous cook's!) who were so kind to help Sami and he always spoke about how he loved his daughter's. I just found out about Sami's passing. Please know I am celebrating the life of Sami and mourning with you all during this difficult time.

To my beloved friend Sami. To my best friend.  We will always remember your kindness, love, generosity and your beautiful smile.  You were a unique person and you will stay for ever in our heart.  You suffered a lot but now you joined your beloved parents in heaven, rest in peace.  It's just an au revoir.  Keep me a seat at your table and a glass of arak.

C’est avec une grande douleur que j’ai appris ton départ moi qui espérais 
encore un miracle.
J’avais tant aimé te revoir mais le destin en a décidé  autrement.
Nous nous sommes retrouvés après des années d’absence pour partager

My Dear Friend,
It’s more than 50 years that we did not correspond. However,  during the last 5 years we have got several times the occasion to chat and even to plan meetings to revive our old youth times.
Sami, my best dormitory school mate, I am very sad, because I lost not only a friend, but also a reference of highly respected and faithful memories. 
Sami, please hear me, I am missing you my friend, but I hope you are now in peace with no pain, after this calvaire that you went through. Be sure I’ll not forget our old complicity times, but I'll be always praying for you.
Rest In Peace. May be your father and mother are more in need to you than we here are.
