Sarah leaves to cherish her memories: husband of 50 years, Michael Cooper, Sr. of Wilmington, DE, who entered holy matrimony on July 18, 1975. To this union three children were born: Jamaal D. Lastly, Sarah is survived by a host of aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her two sisters: Ernestine “Tina” Teagle and First Lady Yvonne Vaughan of Wilmington, DE.
Sarah was an avid lover of Christ and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was extremely artistic and enjoyed drawing and writing. In her spare time, Sarah LOVED to shop, whether it was online or going to her favorite stores. Sarah was an amazing cook and did not hesitate to pass down her recipes and was not shy on letting people know she was the “end all, be all” when it came to the kitchen. Sarah was more than just the family’s matriarch; she was and will always be the shoulders of which the Cooper family stands. She enjoyed the small things like drinking Hypoint iced tea and eating peanut butter crackers with her grandson on the porch or watching Animal Planet and her favorite Soap operas with her close ones. Sarah was beautiful, smart, and had a witty sense of humor. She will be missed, cherished, but not forgotten. She will forever live in our hearts, thoughts, and lives.
