Bruce Alexander Munroe

It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of Bruce Alexander Munroe. Bruce was born November 13th, 1934 in Winnipeg Manitoba to Ewen and Emily Munroe and had one sister Corrine (deceased). Bruce finished his schooling and found his passion in Aviation. He was an excellent pilot and had the opportunity to travel the world, where he made great friendships with many wonderful people.

This is also how he met his true love, Donna Jean (DJ). She was a flight attendant, they married on November 1st, 1963 in Edmonton Alberta and had two children, Melanie and David, sadly we lost Dave and my Mom Donna Jean, and that was truly hard for my Dad to bear. Bruce did enjoy to golf and loved going to Shadow Ridge with many great friends. He also like the ponies and liked to visit chances occasionally and he loved the summer time and his flowers.

One of Bruce’s greatest accomplishments and he was very proud of was getting sober, and he had 38 years sobriety! Bruce is survived by his daughter Melanie (Mitch) and grandson Jake, granddaughter Amanda (Scott) and great grandchildren Samuel and Gracie, daughter-in-law Nikki and grandchildren Cailey, Kaylynn and Kaden.

As Bruce’s request, there will be no funeral service. A time later in Spring/Summer, we will have a gathering to share stories; he had many to tell, he was character with a great sense of humor and wit, and will be dearly missed from around the world.
