Carrie Lee Weeks

Carrie was born in Kitimat, BC to Pat and Fred Schultz along with her brothers Glenn and Kenn. After Fred completed his electrical apprenticeship, the family decided to pack up and move to Kelowna, where Carrie attended Dr. Knox Secondary and K.S.S. The Schultz family loved Kelowna, and it was here that she began her collection of devoted lifelong friends.

After briefly considering a career as a travel agent, she found a job as a legal assistant with the law firm Tinker and Kueng. Here she worked for many years, adding yet more friends to her growing collection, as she did later working at Doak Shirreff.

Along the way, Carrie met Roland, who fell in love with her immediately and felt honoured and blessed to become a part of her life and family. Together they raised three boys, Christopher, Steven and Kevin, who were the loves of her life.

She was always happiest camping, especially at Mable Lake. She took great pride when pulling out her massive list of camping essentials, going over and over it a hundred times until we had everything necessary for the perfect trip (and with her along it always was).

Carrie, you were a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, and mother. Your passing has left a hole in our lives that can never be filled. We will love you and miss you forever.

Carrie will be lovingly remembered by her husband Roland; children Christopher, Steven and Kevin; mother Patricia; brother Glenn (Kim) Schultz; brother-in-law Murray (Susan) Weeks; uncles Al (Sal) Markle, Brian (Renee) Markle as well as many nieces and nephews and cousins.

Sadly predeceased by her father Fred and brother Kenn.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the office of Dr. Chamberlain and to all the doctors and nurses at K.G.H. who made her as comfortable as possible in her last days.

A Celebration of Life will be announced and held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted with Dignity Memorial Valleyview Funeral Home.
