In loving memory of Clermont Dumont (Pappa) who peacefully passed away February 16th, 2025 at the age of 84. He was predeceased by his wife Bonnie (Thirza) Dumont (Mckinley). Survived by his three children Michel Dumont, wife Carol, three children and six grandchildren. Collette (Dumont) Wikenheiser, husband Don and their two children and one grandchild. Paul Dumont and his two children and four grandchildren. As well as many siblings, nieces and nephews.
Clermont retired from Riverside Forest Products at the age of 60, after 39 years of employment, where he was greatly respected and appreciated by his co-workers and employer.
In his early years, Clermont spent his weekends racing at Billy Foster Memorial Raceway and Tillicum Raceway in Vernon as well as others, where he became a member of the Roll-Over Club.
As a family we made three, month long trips across Canada in his van that he customized and our summers were filled with hiking, motorbiking and camping.
Clermont was very creative with his woodworking skills. In his spare time, he would build all kinds of furniture and crafts. All his children, grandchildren as well as other family members and friends, to this day, have custom builds in their homes. You ask for it, he’d build it.
He also loved gardening. He was constantly putzing around in his yard. Feeding all the neighborhood birds (rats). Caring for his “plants” in his pyramid greenhouse.
Pappa was a kind, considerate, spiritual soul who will be missed dearly.
A family Funeral Service will be held at Valleyview Funeral Home, 165 Valleyview Road, Monday February 24th @ 1pm.
