Corine Helen Gergely

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Nana and Great Grandma. Corine passed away peacefully at the Vineyards Residence on Wednesday January 24, 2024, at the age of 87 years.

Corine was born in Matsqui, BC on August 2, 1936. She was predeceased by her loving husband Alex in 2006 and her parents Helen and Frank Vallie. Corine and Alex created two amazing daughters! She will be deeply missed by her loving daughters Sharon and (Tony) Lonergan, Shelley and (Claude) Uzelman as well as her grandchildren Bryan, Mark, Joseph and Shayla and her great grandson William.Brothers Leonard(Ellen) Vallie and Ian(Marilu) Ferguson, nieces, nephews and many lifelong friends.

Corine was a member of the Order of the Royal Purple and spent countless hours happily volunteering. She loved to bowl, play cards with her friends and she especially loved to bake cookies for her family. Sunday family dinners were always very special to Corine. Her family was everything to her and many special memories were made.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception, Friday, February 16th at 11:00 AM with Rev. Paul John Irumba officiating. Private family interment to take place at Kelowna City Cemetery immediately following the service.
