Edward Kellert

KELLERT, EDWARD 1924 – 2016. It is with sad hearts and happy memories that we say goodbye to a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather Edward Kellert was born May 01,1924 in Poland. He passed away December 30, 2016 with loving care at the Spring Valley Care Centre in Kelowna, BC. Edward was the 6th child of eleven siblings. He was predeceased by 4 older siblings that were born during the war years. At the age of 3 years Edward with his parents, older brother Leopold (predeceased) and younger sister Adela arrived in Canada from Germany. He had 3 siblings born in Canada brother Jona (predeceased) Brother Robert and sister Lilly (predeceased). Edward married the love of his life Mable (nee Risto) in 1949. They had 5 children 4 daughters and 1 son. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 65 years December 2014. And was predeceased by his third daughter Sharon Schoepp in 2003 and son-in-law George Schoepp in 2015. Edward will be lovingly remembered and missed by his children daughter Elaine Tanner son-in-law Jeff of Calgary, Alberta daughter Barbara Parent son-in-law Art of Kelowna, B.C., son Terry Kellert daughter-in-law Barbara of Kelowna B.C., daughter Heather Kellert of Kelowna, BC., fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Edward was a remarkable man of faith and devoted to God. He will be remembered, cherished and missed by relatives and friends. There will be a Celebration of his Life in the spring of 2017 .
