Eli Daase

June 6, 1937 – December 12, 2025

Our hearts are deeply saddened by our loss as we said goodbye to our dearest Dad and Grandpa/Opa on December 12, 2025. He was 88 years old.

Dad was born on June 6, 1937 in Rippin, Poland and came across to Canada when he was 15 years old. For several years he lived in Chilliwack and then lived in Kelowna for the last 49 years.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Irma, whom he has missed everyday since her passing. We can just imagine their amazing reunion in heaven.

Eli is also predeceased by his mother Gertrude Daase, father Albert Daase, step-mother Maria Daase, sister Hilda Brenner, and brother Harry Daase.

He leaves behind his children David (& Maryann), Darlene (& Jim) and Carolyn (& Sean); his grandchildren Kevin (& Emma), Jonathan, Shaun, Jennifer (& Jordan), Julianne (& Ian), Jessie-Lynn (Brandon), Cole (& Madi), Tia (& Braethan) and Bryce (& Elise) ; his great-grandchildren Jayden, Summer, Ben, Zoah, Reuben & Liam.

He was a family man who took great interest in always knowing how everyone was doing and was always up for a visit over coffee, a doughnut, or any type of food. He had an incredible dry sense of humor that had friends and family always laughing. For the majority of his working years, he worked as a house painter and even worked alongside his wife. In his earlier years, Dad loved to play the accordion and his harmonicas. He also loved to travel and buy new cars, which he traded in every few years. He has always been very involved with his church right to the end. He was a faithful, God-fearing man who prayed for his kids and grandkids whom he loved dearly. His family meant the world to him.

There will be a Funeral to celebrate Eli’s life on the 9th of January, 2026 @ 1 p.m. at Evangel Church, 3261 Gordon Dr ,Kelowna, BC.
