On July 16, 2020 Hertl passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 98. She was married for 68 years to her husband Helmut, who had predeceased her 4 months earlier. Born in Czechoslovakia in 1922, she immigrated to Canada in 1954 with her husband. Travelling the world with Helmut, she experienced much of its peoples and their cultures and spent her remaining years in Kelowna. She will be fondly remembered.
