Jason (Jay) was born April 8th, 1966 in Brandon, Manitoba. He grew up in Kelowna, then spent many years living on Vancouver Island and Salt Spring Island. He relocated back to Kelowna recently.
Jay was a hardworking individual who worked various trades. Jay’s interests included competitive dirt bike racing as a youth. He was also a musician and artist. He created wood and soapstone carvings, some of which were displayed at galleries on Salt Spring Island. Jay loved to have fun and brought a smile to those he met. Many knew him as a happy, fun-loving individual with a great sense of humor and free spirit.
Jason is survived by his loving parents Frederick (Bray) Willey and Glenna Louise Donahue, as well as his younger brother Regan (Lori), his niece Sidney and nephew Blake. He is also survived by several Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
A private family service will take place at a later date. Jay’s ashes will be spread at one of his favorite places.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kelowna United Way.
A very special thank you to the numerous emergency services workers who assisted Jason that morning.
Jay you were loved by many, we will always carry your memory in our hearts.
