Josh spent many years working in the mechanical insulation industry where he met his former business partner Luke Ceraldi. They remained friends throughout his life and had many adventures together.
Josh was passionate about fishing, even as a child he could often be seen on the banks of the Skeena River casting his rod. One of his first jobs was at Misty River Tackle shop where he expanded his knowledge. As an adult he enjoyed jet boating to various fishing locations, especially on and around the Skeena River. He went on fishing trips back to the Terrace area with his dear fishing buddies who he loved to take to some of his favourite fishing locations.
In recent years Josh took up photography and took many exceptional photos. He enjoyed wildlife photography, but also got some great shots of his family. Josh had a strong sense of renewed faith in his final months.
He will be greatly missed by his mother Debbie, father Ron, step-father Steven (Linda) Straw; siblings Melissa, Tiffany, Rianna, Levi, Chelsea, Lacey and Jessie.
Prior to separation, he was married to Lisa for 20 years and together they had three daughters Ava, Haley and Brinley who he will be lovingly remembered by. Josh is also survived by in-laws Bob, Candace and Erin Nyberg; as well as his extended family; and friends in Kelowna.
Special thanks to Troy and Heather Heystek, our close family friends, along with our large extended family and many other close friends for your ongoing support.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
