Larry Kenneth Stewart, age 79, son of Agnes and Daniel Stewart, was born in Vancouver, BC on September 30th, 1942. He passed away on January 04, 2022, at the Kelowna General Hospital due to complications from a chronic illness.
For those of you who knew Larry, he was the youngest and the most curious child of the three children. This often got him in trouble – especially with his siblings (Doug and Donna). This was something that he never outgrew. From a young age, Larry often noted he was not like the others and this was reflected in his antics. His interests and talents were vast and varied and were often displayed with much passion and enthusiasm. He was an artist, gardener, animal lover, fisherman, and water enthusiast. Larry could often be found out flying his RC Model airplanes which brought him exquisite delight. He took great pride in expressing his creativity with each model he perfected; however, they often met their demise on the airfield - he would simply scoop up the pieces and begin again. Larry lived life to the fullest despite his medical challenges. In his personal or professional life, he was known for being diligent, organized, conscientious, and a perfectionist. Larry had the most captivating blue eyes that danced along with his child-like zest for life right down to the moment he closed them for the last time.
Larry leaves behind his wife Diane of 16 years - whom he cherished. His step-children Bill and Robyn Kozoris along with the extended family with who he loved spending time with.
Larry also leaves behind his beloved dog Bailey who was his co-pilot and never left his side.
Many of Larry’s antics can clearly be seen in his children from his marriage to Lynne. His daughter Michelle Faubert/(Bob) and his son Derrek Stewart have both inherited his witty sense of humor. Larry was proud of his grandchildren: Andrew Faubert (Angela)-Emma,Noah,Penolope; Alyssa Faubert-Zatarain (Freddy)-Rylan,Paisley,Lola; Torin Faubert; and Beau Stewart.
Also left to mourn is his Brother Doug Stewart (Sandy), along with his sister Donna Smith who miss him dearly.
Revelation21:4 " And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
