

It is with great sadness we are saying goodbye to a father,grandfather, great grandfather and an uncle.
He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his daughter Carol (James), granddaughters Jenn and Melissa and 2 great grandsons Nolan and Wyatte. He is also survived by his niece Betty (Mario), Jack and Ken (Tammy) as well as several other family members.
Les was predeceased by both his parents, Elizabeth and Henry, his wife of 51 yrs Fay and his eldest daughter Debbie, as well as his sister Doris.
Les was born March 12, 1939 in Vegreville, Alberta. He stayed in Edmonton working in a grocery store and then as a milkman and married Fay in August of 1958. In the late 1960's, they moved to Vancouver where he took a mining course and began his life long career in the world of open pit mining.
Once Fay had relapsed with cancer, Les retired and they spent their time travelling across Canada and spent numerous winters in Yuma, making many friends.
A celebration of Life will be held at 11 am on Friday February 15th at Valleyview Funeral Home, 165 Valleyview Rd with Rev. Gordon Fletcher officiating. Coffee and fellowship to follow.
