Lloyd Paul Sveinson

With profound sorrow, the family of Lloyd Paul Sveinson announces his peaceful passing on April 25, 2023, at the age of 92. Lloyd was born on August 2nd, 1930, in Red Deer, Alberta to Sigarpull and Valgerdur Sveinson. Throughout his life, he worked as a farmer, carpenter, and worked 18 years at the Drumheller Institution as a counselor and correctional officer. Afterwards, he held various security jobs before retiring. Lloyd was a kind, gentle, and loving man. Lloyd moved to Kelowna, BC in 2006 and enjoyed golfing, card games, and playing pool. He will be missed greatly, and we will cherish the beautiful memories we shared with him.

A funeral service will be held on May 8th, 2023, at 1:30 pm, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 696 Glenmore Road, Kelowna, BC.

Lloyd will be laid to rest in Lakeview Memorial Gardens, 2850 Dry Valley Road, Kelowna, British Columbia.

The family would like to thank the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and the staff at Mission Creek Landing for their care, love, and support.
