Born on 12 July 1934, the youngest of 6 children, to Sam & Loretta Bujold in Canwood, Saskatchewan.
She spent her younger years on their farm and spoke fondly of her “pet” lambs.
Her family moved to Duncan BC, where she finished high school. From there, Lucille moved to Vancouver BC to work as a supermarket cashier. She met her soon-to-be husband, Jorgen, at a dance and they were married in 1956.
They moved to Quebec for dad’s new job and had 2 children.
A transfer to Kitimat BC brought them 2 more children!
Not one to sit still for long, mom kept busy with many activities and hobbies. Her dedication to the Catholic Church led to serving on the Catholic Women’s League executive. She also enjoyed being with her many friends, golfing, curling, bowling, dancing, camping, sewing, and travelling all over the world with dad. They retired in Nanaimo BC for a few years before settling in West Kelowna in 2014 at The Heritage assisted living residence. And they loved it! Thank you to all the staff and residents for making them feel so welcome!
Married for 62 years, she was predeceased by her husband in 2018.
Also predeceased by her parents, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
Survived by her 4 children, Anita (Jerry), Kevin (Chris), Johanne (Andy) and Shannon.
She has 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A life well lived…she never complained and often commented on how lucky she was.
Rest in peace Mom, love you.
