Margaret Ila Johnson

Margaret Ila Johnson, age 94 and formerly of Cambridge, Ontario, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2024 bringing to an end, a life well lived. Marg was a beloved mother to Rodger (Jan), Karen (David), and Peter (Patti) and a cherished grandmother to Matthew (Frances), Megan, Lauren, Leigh (Dustin) and Kate (Jeff), Emily (Ben), and Mitchell (Jojo). She was delighted to achieve great-grandmother status with the addition of Teddy, Reece, Jordyn and Brooks. Marg dedicated her life to her family and was a fun, loving, and caring presence in their lives.

Marg achieved many milestones throughout her life, first marrying the love of her life, Ted. It was a Preston girl meets Hespeler boy love that lasted for 58 years. Hers was the friendly face that served locals in several business establishments over the years including The Right House, TD Bank and Peter’s Jewelers. Marg obtained her driver's license in her mid forties, issued in the name of Nargaret. "Nargie" made the bold decision to move independently to Coldstream B.C. at the age of 80, where she continued to live a fulfilling life there, and then in Vernon and finally, in Kelowna. In her free time, Marg enjoyed walking, gardening, quilting, bargain hunting and cooking.

Marg will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her fun spirit, kindness, and unwavering love will always be remembered. For sure, calls for "Ted!!!" will be echoing through heaven. May they rest in peace together.

Interment will take place in the summer when the family can gather together to celebrate her life. Memorial donations can be made to Kelowna Hospice House online who provided Marg amazing care in her final weeks.
