(OCTOBER 16, 1940 – APRIL 20, 2026)
Margaret has gone to join love of her life, Doug, to go camping and fishing in heaven.
Margaret was born in Humboldt, Saskatchewan to Mary and George Oster. She grew up on their family farm in St. Gregor with her sister Frances and brother George. In 1968 she moved to Kelowna with her 4 young children. She was immensely proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Margaret and Doug loved to go camping and fishing with their family and friends. Travelling to visit family kept them busy. She loved playing dice and cards with her children and grandchildren.
Margaret is survived by her 3 daughters: Beverly (Glenn), Wanda (Gregg), Bonita (Jim); 6 grandchildren; Jennifer (Jason), Shawn (Shayna), Taylor (Maja), Davis (Alicia), Carl (Meghan) and Joel (Kendalle) and 7 great-grandchildren; Braxtynn, Olive, Dahlen, Norah, Sloan, Willa and Sebastian. She is survived and will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Margaret is predeceased by her husband, Doug, her son Damian, sister Frances and brother George.
We wish to thank Dr. P. Botha and his staff, the staff of Interior Health Home Support team and Palliative Care team for their compassionate care. Donations in memory of Margaret may be made to Kelowna General Hospital Foundation, Cancer Care.
A Celebration of Margaret’s life will be held at a later date.
We miss you Mom, Grandma, Granny…
