Mervin John Neufeld

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Mervin John Neufeld, born in Didsbury Alberta. He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth Marlene Neufeld (2017) of 51 years of marriage. He is survived by his loving wife Nola Neufeld of almost 6 years. Dad was a GM auto mechanic for over 40 years between Alberta and B.C. Dad was an avid woodworker for most of his life. He made everything from bird houses to coffee tables to peanut bowls to clocks to pens and the list goes on. He sang in several church choirs and a men's choir group from Bergthal Mennonite church just East of Didsbury called THE GOSPEL 8. They released at least 2 record albums. He was a huge volunteer for his church activities and different community groups, most recently the Westbank Food Bank for many years. He enjoyed family vacations for many years, Disneyland, Hawaii, camping etc. He won several vacation trips overseas with General Motors for a number of years by his excellent performance as an automotive technician. He had many hobbies over the years, including horseshoes, crokinole, and was an avid Vancouver Canucks fan and always helping others with vehicle repairs.

He is survived by his wife Nola Neufeld, sister Mildred (Ernest) Weins, and brother Gerald (Marg) Neufeld, and 3 children, Kelly (Wanda), Trevor and Bonnie. He leaves behind 6 grandchildren and 2 Great grandchildren, Natasha, Taylor, Zachery, Jacob, Mackenzie, and Sydney, Everett and Hudson. He is also survived by 2 step daughters, Faith (Clint) and Beckie ( Darren) and their children, Conner, Katana, Brett, Anika, Taden, Miles Ryan

He was the most kind, loving, giving man to everyone he encountered and will be missed dearly.

A Celebration Of Life to honor Mervin's life will be held on Tuesday May 6, 2025 at 2pm at First Memorial Funeral Services, 1211 Sutherland Ave in Kelowna, B.C.
