Teunis Van Kooy

Born on April 23, 1944, in Soest, Netherlands, Tos started in the automotive industry at a very young age, opening his own dealership TEVAKO.

On July 1,1982 the family immigrated to Canada where he opened his own dealership Team Cars in the small town of Revelstoke.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tos was a devoted family man. He is survived by his beloved wife, Irene Van Kooy, and their children: Aart and his wife Kerry, Simone and her husband Keith , Kim, and Jeroen. His grandsons Colton and Brady Konrad who brought him so much joy. Tos's love for his family was unwavering, and he took great joy in their successes and milestones.

He is predeceased by his parents Aart and Anna Van Kooy, his brothers Jan and Aart and his sister Henny.

In his leisure time, Tos was an avid tennis player, reveling in the camaraderie and competition that the sport brought. His infectious enthusiasm and warm smile made him a beloved figure on and off the court.

Tos left an indelible mark on the lives of everyone he touched , his legacy will be deeply cherished.

Even in death, his spirit remains, inspiring us to live with the same integrity, compassion, and kindness that he embodied.

As we bid farewell to this extraordinary man, we take comfort in the knowledge that heaven has gained an amazing angel. Tos, your memory will be a blessing to us all. Rest in peace.
