With his loving wife of 33 years by his side, Tom passed away on December 31, 2017. He is survived by his wife Sandra, cherished son Thomas Charles; sisters Margaret (Gary deceased), Linda (Bob); nephews Bobby, Ian, Scott and grandnephew and nieces. He was born in Vancouver on June 3, 1935. He was a journeyman automotive machinist; his work served him well. Tom had a kind heart, warm smile and will be missed by all that knew him; he lived life to the fullest. In his youth he played soccer and junior golf. He salt water fished on the West coast with his father, uncles and friends. He skied Hollyburn MT where he made lifelong friends and told great stories. Work took Tom to Kamloops then onto Kelowna where he continued to live an active life. He got hooked on fly-fishing and enjoyed many nights around the campfire with dear friends. He continued to ski in the sunshine and powder with enthusiasm. In his retirement he returned to golf where he tried to resume his youthful game. Often he'd say the best part of golf, at Shadow Ridge, is the friendships he made. He travelled to many great cities and did all of these things with his wife Sandy by his side, whom will forever hold his encompassing love in her heart. If you wish Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of B.C.in Tom's memory. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.firstmemorialfuneralkelowna.com.
