April 4, 2026
Thomas Mashowski passed away quietly on April 4, 2026, at the age of 93, leaving behind a long life filled with stories, hard work, and a love for his family that never faded.
Thomas spent much of his working life with CN Rail in Manitoba, a job that reflected his steady nature and strong sense of responsibility. He was not a man of many words, but those who knew him understood his quiet determination and the way he showed care through what he did rather than what he said. Later in life, he retired to Kelowna, British Columbia, where he found peace in a slower, more reflective way of living.
Family was always close to Thomas’s heart. Though he was estranged from his children—Myra, Moira, and Larry—and was predeceased by his son David, that distance never erased the love he felt for them. In his own quiet way, he carried each of them with him, holding onto memories and moments that mattered deeply to him.
Thomas lived through nearly a century of change, and his life was shaped by perseverance, strength, and the complexities that come with time. He will be remembered not only for the life he lived, but for the love he held, even when it went unspoken.
He leaves behind a legacy of resilience and a reminder that love endures, even across distance and silence.
A private remembrance will be held, and he will be cremated according to his wishes.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.valleyviewfuneralhome.com for the Mashowski family.
