

Red was born in Calgary, February 14, 1936. He is survived by his wife, Barbara and his children, Janet and Steven, grand children; Alissa, Laura, Jesse, Jessica, Ryan and Russell; great-grandchildren, Liam, Emerson, Chase, James, Evan and Madison.
At the age of 8he moved to Sylvan Lake Alberta, to live with his Nana. He loved to play hockey, swim and roller skate. Red moved back to Calgary in his teens, where he delivered telegrams. He once delivered a telegram to Princess Elizabeth at the Paliser Hotel.
Red met Barb when working for the CPR. He was 20 and Barb was 18 when they where married in Calgary, at Trinity United Church, March 31, 1956. Daughter Janet was born in Calgary 1957. Red worked for GSI when they were first married, then he was hired by Motor Car Supply. They moved to Red Deer, Alberta, where son Steven was born in 1960. Two years later he and his family moved to Edmonton where he worked for Cross Town Motors. They lived in Edmonton for 3 years and then moved to Prince George to work for Chuck Wagon Lunch and the Europe Hotel. After 7 years, Red and his family moved to White Rock, BC, were he worked as manager of the Ocean Beach bar. From there, Red moved his family to Victoria, where he managed the Tudor Inn bar. This was the end of his bartending career. Red was then employed at the Royal Jubilee Hospital where he became very involved with the Hospital Employees Union. He retired from the hospital after 25 years of service. Red and Barb moved to Kelowna in 2010.
Activities Red enjoyed throughout his life were hockey, camping, supporting the union and celebrating birthdays and Christmas with his family.
He is sadly missed by his family and friends.
