Wanda Leyk

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wanda Leyk, beloved wife of Joseph Leyk, mother of Robert, Rick ( Ellen ) and Adam ( Lisa ), Grandmother of Joseph, Alice, Stephen,Sienna and Taylor, sister Christine.

Wanda was a very active member and past president of the Kelowna Polish Cultural Society, teaching traditional crafts and wearing her native costumes at schools and multi-cultural events. She was a member of the CWL and Legion of Mary.

She volunteered with the St. Vincent de Paul Society and quietly supported 2 orphanages over the years. Wanda was a wonderful hostess and poured out her warmth to others. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife and mother, leaving behind many golden memories.

Prayers will be recited at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, November 19, 2015 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 2077 Fuller Avenue, Kelowna, BC. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday November 20, 2015 also at St. Pius X Church; Father Francis de la Cruz celebrant. Interment will follow the mass in Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery, 1991 Bernard Avenue, Kelowna, BC.
