William Cameron Mcnab

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing William (Bill) Cameron McNab on July 26, 2016 at the age of 89 years. Bill was born in Tisdale, SK on April 12, 1927 to William & Amelia McNab. Bill grew up on the family farm at Tisdale until the age of 14 when the family moved to Flin Flon, MB. At the age of 18 Bill enlisted in the army. Upon discharge Bill moved to BC. It was while working in Prince Rupert he met his first wife Margaret. Bill worked in construction & logging throughout northern BC where he and Margaret raised 3 boys, Brian, Alan & Cameron. After the marriage ended Bill met Ina Roper and they were married on Dec 7, 1977. Bill retired in 1987, and it was at that time he and Ina decided to sell their home in Prince Rupert, buy an RV and travel. After 4 years of travelling they made the decision to settle down in Keremeos, BC where they resided until Bill’s passing. Bill will be forever remembered for his storytelling. His stories were enjoyed by family, friends and strangers alike. Predeceased by his parents William and Amelia and his 4 sisters, Bernice, Verna, Ialeen & Jessie; he will be sadly missed by his wife Ina, his sons Brian, Alan (Sherry) & Cam (Debbie), stepchildren Julie, & Chris (Robyn), grandchildren Lindsay, Travis, Scott, Melissa, Dustin, Jordan & Aandarra, and 5 great grandchildren. In honoring Bill’s wishes there will be no formal funeral held. The family asks that you raise a glass and remember a fond memory.
