

Bill was born on September 29, 1933 in Sulphur Springs, Texas, to parents Voner Lee and Frances Addie V (Lackey) Parish, and entered into eternal rest on October 15, 2014, at the age of 81. Bill loved his family, dearly, and was a man of faith. He was a member of East Gate Church of Christ. He loved working outdoors, riding horses, watching old western movies, singing, playing the guitar and, most of all, being with his family. After attending Sunset High School in Oak Cliff, Bill enlisted in The United States Marines and served during the Korean War. He was in the real estate business for over 35 years, and received numerous awards including: Salesman of The Year, Highest Sales Production and others. Bill was the owner and broker of New Home Information Center, Inc. since 1985, and was very well known throughout his career. Bill was a loving and caring husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle who will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, niece Jennifer Thomas Parker and nephew Carl H. Thomas III.
He is survived by his loving wife Melinda Parish of Kemp, daughters: Tamara Thompson and husband Luke of Kemp, Jennifer Clearman and husband Scott of Kemp, Kathryn Johnson and husband Gary of Crandall, and Missy Jedlicka and husband Jerry of Kemp; grandchildren: Taylor, Sam, Josh, Ryan, Jake, Kara, Jax, Wes and Kenna; sisters: Shirley McSpedden of Kemp and Betty Brown of Cedar Hill; brothers: Carl Thomas Jr. and wife Sue of Kemp, Larry Thomas and wife Pam of DeSoto, and many other relatives and friends.
