Charlie Huston Doss

Charlie was born on November 8, 1927 in Kemp, Texas to parents Charlie Tinsley and Annie Louise (Huston) Doss and entered into eternal rest on June 9, 2016 at the age of 88. Charlie and Helen were married December 29, 1949. Charlie loved playing golf, fishing, hunting, riding his four wheeler and tractor. He attended the Kemp Church of Christ. He was on the board of Kemp Cemetery Association, and previously served as board member of First National Bank Kemp. Charlie began his banking career at Republic National Bank in Dallas where he worked for 14 years, the remainder of his career was at the First National Bank of Kemp from 1967 until retirement in 2011.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Carolyn Franklin, brother Raymond Doss, and grandson Jeremy Doss.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Helen Doss of Kemp, son Doug Doss and Lisa of Kaufman, Son in-law Strike Franklin of Sanger and 5 grandchildren: Jennifer Watts and Brad, Stacy Turkoly and David, Carrie Jones and Matt, Daisy Cromer and David, Trey Doss and Haley, 11 great-grandchildren: K’Leigh, Brance, Morgan, Maci, Britton, McKenzie, Barrett, Halen, Lane, Huston and Baylor, his nephew Dan Doss and Maureen, niece Alexis Montiel and Sergio, brother-in- law Joe Elston, numerous other relatives and friends.
