Mrs. Dorothy Mae Helmer

Dorothy Mae Helmer was born on April 14, 1924 in Kaufman, TX to parents Sidney Charles and Norine Vivia (Vickery) Shwadlenak and entered into eternal rest on February 4, 2015 at the age of 90. Dorothy loved to entertain her family at their beautiful home and land. She was an exceptional cook, she truly had a passion for baking and canning. Dorothy loved many things in life and she enjoyed gardening. She was a firm believer in Christ and was raised Baptist and also went to nursing school.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Henry Helmer, sisters: Genevieve Lillian Shwadlenak, Jinx Hayes, Margaret LaPlant, Ann Bauer, and granddaughter Michelle Molock.

She is survived by children, Diane Molock of Mesquite, Craig Helmer and Jackie of Kaufman, Cheryl Shaw of Gun Barrel City, Karen Green and David of Mesquite, grandchildren: Jason Helmer, Christopher Shaw, Angela Helmer, Candice Shaw, Nikki Green, David Green Jr., great grandchildren: Colby Shaw, Kortnie Shaw, Kylie Shaw, Harper Faller, brother Malcom Shwadlenak and Quetta of Dallas, numerous nieces, nephews and many other loving family members and friends.
