Gary Gene Dunn

Gary was born on September 26, 1941 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to parents Basil Curtis and Fannie Mae Dunn and entered into eternal rest on January 8, 2021 at the age of 79. Gary was a full time employee at Argon Medical Devices in Athens, Texas for over 20 years until the time of his death. Gary's primary occupation was a mold maker, investment castings. He could build anything as long as he had a blueprint. His hobbies included: working, reading, sudoku, computers and technology. Gary loved raising his children, animals, debating politics and drinking coffee. Gary was on the City Council and a member of the Volunteer Fire Department in Seven Points, Texas.

Gary was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jean Dunn; his parents Basil and Fannie Dunn; his brothers Darrell Curtis Dunn and Forrest Lloyd Dunn; his sister Cordelia Delta Dunn Linkugel; and his granddaughter Olivia Brooke Finney.

He is survived by daughter Mary Dunn-Sledge and spouse Ely Sledge Jr of Pilot Point, Texas; daughter Terri Dunn Adams of Hamilton, Texas; daughter Amanda Dunn-Meelkop and spouse Joshua Meelkop of Whitehouse, Texas; daughter Elizabeth Dunn-Finney of Athens, Texas; son Gary Dunn ll of Seven Points, Texas (his name sake…also called, "My Boy"); family friend of sixteen years Justin Finney of Fort Worth, Texas; grandson Tony Adams and spouse April Adams of Canyon, Texas; grandson Trey Adams and spouse Ashley Adams of Hamilton, Texas; great grandchildren: Nik, Aubrey, and Raylee Adams of Hamilton, Texas. Family Pets: Reeses; Flynn; Takara; Oliver; Winston; Luna; Aurora, Ellie Mae, and Zoey.
